Having trouble letting go of revising Force Awakens

I ran across this weeks-old article from Cinemanblend, and it got me re-writing the film… again. I quietly yearn for a day when I get over it & just enjoy the movie. Until then:

http://www.cinemablend.com/new/C-3PO-Red-Arm-Force-Awakens-Explained-102337.html?utm_source=zergnet.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=zergnet_829106

“Due to the 30 year time jump in The Force Awakens, it makes sense that C-3PO is presumably an outdated droid. If production on protocol droids of his model have halted, it must be hard for replacement parts to be found.”

They can make FULLY FUNCTIONING REPLACEMENT HANDS for PEOPLE! HUMAN PEOPLE!

Also: “About Threepio’s arm… you’ll have to read the comic for that answer!” is horsecrap. It would have been better storytelling if Leia & Threepio were shown to have just returned from a rough battle, with Threepio damaged & undergoing quick repair. Short on time? Cut the “how Finn got his name” down to a quick, terse exchange with “a man with no name” instead of being named like he was a newly acquired stray kitten.  (What works better: Han nicknaming him “Big Deal,” a la Sawyer from Lost.)

Also also: I hope the fact that I insist on typing out “Threepio” shows I and not a looney, but just an overprotective fan.
